# Agent with Structured Outputs

> Return a validated Pydantic object from a Vertex AI Claude agent.

Set `output_schema` to return a validated Pydantic object instead of free-form text.

## Usage

**1. Set your environment variables**

setx GOOGLE_CLOUD_PROJECT xxx
```

**2. Authenticate your CLI session**

```bash theme={null}
gcloud auth application-default login
```

> You don't need to authenticate your CLI every time.

**3. Install dependencies**

```bash theme={null}
uv pip install -U 'anthropic[vertex]' agno
```

**4. Run Agent**

Save the code above as `structured_output.py`, then run:

```
