# Basic Agent with Streaming

> Stream a Portkey agent's response to the terminal.

## Code

```python basic.py theme={null}
import os

from agno.agent import Agent
from agno.models.portkey import Portkey

agent = Agent(
    model=Portkey(
        id="@first-integrati-707071/gpt-5-nano",
        portkey_api_key=os.getenv("PORTKEY_API_KEY"),
    ),

# Print the response in the terminal
agent.print_response(
    "What is Portkey and why would I use it as an AI gateway?", stream=True
)

## Usage

**1. Set your API keys**

```bash theme={null}
export PORTKEY_API_KEY=***
export PORTKEY_VIRTUAL_KEY=***
```

**2. Install dependencies**

```bash theme={null}
uv pip install -U portkey-ai openai agno
```

**3. Run Agent**

Save the code above as `basic.py`, then run:

```bash theme={null}
python basic.py
```
