# Basic Agent

> Run a Vercel v0-powered Agno agent and print its response.

## Code

from agno.agent import Agent, RunOutput  # noqa
from agno.models.vercel import V0

agent = Agent(model=V0(id="v0-1.0-md"), markdown=True)

# Get the response in a variable
# run: RunOutput = agent.run("Share a 2 sentence horror story")
# print(run.content)

# Print the response in the terminal
agent.print_response("Share a 2 sentence horror story")

# agent.print_response("Create a simple web app that displays a random number between 1 and 100.")

> Vercel retired the v0 Model API endpoint (`https://api.v0.dev/v1/`) that this integration targets, in favor of the Platform API. Requests made with `V0` will fail until Agno updates this integration. See [Vercel's community announcement](https://community.vercel.com/t/has-the-v0-api-model-been-updated/32229).

## Usage

**1. Set your API key**

```bash theme={null}
export V0_API_KEY=xxx
```

**2. Install dependencies**

```bash theme={null}
uv pip install -U openai agno
```

**3. Run Agent**

Save the code above as `basic.py`, then run:

```bash theme={null}
python basic.py
```
