# Sleep

> Pause agent execution for a set number of seconds with SleepTools.sleep().

## Example

The following agent will use the `sleep` tool to pause execution for a given number of seconds.

```python cookbook/91_tools/sleep_tools.py theme={null}
from agno.agent import Agent
from agno.tools.sleep import SleepTools

# Create an Agent with the Sleep tool
agent = Agent(tools=[SleepTools()], name="Sleep Agent")

# Example 1: Sleep for 2 seconds
agent.print_response("Sleep for 2 seconds")

# Example 2: Sleep for a longer duration
agent.print_response("Sleep for 5 seconds")
```

| `all` | `bool` | `False` | Enables all functionality when set to True |
